IT'S CATCHUP TIME

Whew! It's been so busy lately I've gotten behind on my blog. Now I have to get myself up to date.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW POSITION RICH!

Richard has a new employer, Capital City Mechanical Services, Inc. They are a "very big" Heating and Air Conditioning outfit and Richard will work out of their Norcross, GA location. He has the job of National Director for Capital City. They are lucky to have you Rich!!

CHIP, PARKER AND PEYTON COME TO VISIT

What a wonderful Mother's Day! The boys drove over from Tuscaloosa in Parker's new ride. His Ford Explorer is just beautiful! Crimson, perfect for the rabid Alabama fan. Yea BAMA!! We had a great time, watching the Braves game, riding through the neighborhood in the golf cart and going out to eat. I am one lucky mother! The world's greatest sons and stepson and stepdaughter. Being able to be with, or hear from, them ("I wuv ew Gram" from Chloe is a special treat) on Mother's Day is God's gift to me. I am so blessed.

ALLAN'S CONFIRMATION

The last week of April we journeyed to south Alabama for grandson Allan's confirmation. We had a wonderful time visiting with Allan, Beth and Elizabeth. They have a new addition to their family, Scout, the German Shepherd puppy. Sooo cute! He joins Sam, the gentle giant (135 lb Golden Retriever) Dick was able to play a couple of days with his old Craft Farms (Gulf Shores) golf group. He had a great time. And, I enjoyed the outlet mall. Allan is growing into such a fine young man and we are very proud of him. When we lived in Gulf Shores it was easy to drive over to Mobile and visit with Beth, Elizabeth and Allan. We do miss that!

CHLOE'S BOO-BOO

Last week Chloe had her first trip to the ER due to a fall. Stew called it "Chloe vs. the chair - Round one - Chair 1 - Chloe 0. All is well now, but it was a scary time. She was a great, and entertaining, little patient until the doctor started cleaning the wound, then she him let him know how unhappy she was. Hmmmm....sounds just like her daddy. He could be very vocal when receiving medical treatment (what an understatement!).

MAE-MAE'S BIRTHDAY

Wednesday, May 6th, was Mae-Mae's 10th birthday. Mae Ellen is Rhett and Beth's baby daughter. She is so cute and sweet. Awesome blond curly hair and big beautiful eyes. Happy birthday Mae-Mae.

LUCY'S MARKET

Kim's new business is going great guns. Her customer base is getting bigger and bigger and she is now selling gift baskets. You Go Girl!!!!

RHETT AND MARLEY IN DENVER

Rhett took daughter Marley to a Grateful Dead Concert in Denver. Or is it Marley took daddy Rhett to a Grateful Dead Concert in Denver? Aren't they cute? Bet they had a great time!

That's it for today. I'm tired!! Hope I didn't wear you out too!

WAY TO GO STEW!

My Son Stewart will be starting a new job on Monday, the 20th of April. The new job will be line producing for Gurney Productions. They do shows for Discovery. He has been producing shows for Actual Reality for a number of years, is very comfortable there and really hates to leave them. But, the possibility of soon heading up Gurney's Production Department is just too tempting to pass up. Stew, Heather and Chloe live in Los Angeles and are very happy there.

Stew has been in some area of the film industry since his graduation from Birmingham Southern with a BA in Theatre Set and Lighting Design. He moved to LA about 11 years ago and has worked so hard to get to where he is today. It didn't happen overnight! Every time he got knocked down by that "dog eat dog" industry he just got right back up and worked harder.

GURNEY IS SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU!!!!!!

Chloe Time

I just got home from Los Angeles last night and I miss Chloe already.

The LA Zoo was great. We were lucky to have an in with a zoo employee and get free tickets. (Heather - Educational Curator).

Chloe takes such good care of the baby Gram brought her.

Mommy and Freddie love the baby too!

The Balboa Kid's Park is just so much fun!

Daddy rides Chloe around at the Aquarium. Want a neat place!

I had such a good time. Stew and Heather were great hosts.

Breakfast at Waffles and More (or was it More Than Waffles?).

Daddy is so funny!

Gram and Chloe eat ice cream

"Daddy, that's my hat"

The Outdoor Pool at The Aquarium was very inviting. Chloe touched the Rays and fishes.

They had a wonderful visit planned down to a "T".

And, Heather could give cooking lessons. Yum Yum.....

Wow! I'm exhausted! This tour guide stuff can really wear ya out!
